Louisiana Delta Community College Library and Learning Resource Center Mission

The mission of the Library and Learning Resource Center is to provide students, faculty and staff with the learning resources and services needed to support the mission of the College.

Goals

In order to achieve the mission, Library and Learning Resource Center faculty and staff are committed to the following goals:

  • To build a comprehensive foundation collection of materials that support curriculum and provide the maximum accessibility to these materials.
  • To promote understanding and encourage use of the Library and Learning Resource Centers’ resources and services so that individuals become information literate lifelong learners..
  • To provide space, equipment, technology and personnel which will ensure operational efficiency, improve collection preservation, and respond to changing needs of patrons.
  • To solicit and secure financial support necessary for the continuation and expansion of operations of the Library and Learning Resource Center.

Cooperative Agreement between Delta and ULM

          Louisiana Delta Community College and the University of Louisiana Monroe have a cooperative agreement whereby Delta students with a valid Delta identification card have privileges to all services available to ULM students.  All of Delta’s circulating collection is housed at the ULM library.  Delta reference materials are in Delta’s Library in Coenen Hall Room 105.  The ULM Library
